NW Flyers announces Dr. Lennie Waite as kickoff breakfast speaker

The NW Flyers Track Club announces Dr. Lennie Waite as the key note speaker to the annual season kickoff breakfast event scheduled for Feb 3, 2018.  Lennie was born in Scotland and grew up in Austin, TX where she was a high school track and soccer standout.  She went on to Rice where she became one of most decorated athletes in Rice women’s track history.   She set school records in the mile, 1500, and steeplechase, won several Conference USA championships and was a 2x NCAA Division I All-American!  All while graduating with honors!  After college Lennie continued her education at U.H., earning a PHD in sports psychology.  Lennie is a consultant in high performance sports psychology and has worked with USATF and Team USA all while training and competing for Great Britain in the Rio 2016 Olympics, the London 2017 World Championships, and 2 Commonwealth Games!  We invite everyone interested in youth track to hear Dr. Waite’s comments on how to achieve success in school, sports, and life.
