The Northwest Flyers Track Club had a record breaking track & field season to cap off our 30th anniversary. On August 30th, 2017 the team returned from the US Junior Olympics National Championships at Kansas University with 14 medals, 2 sprint relay medals (3rd girls 4×400, 4th girls 4×100), and 2 gold medals!!! In additon the team set 1 new national record during the season. The Northwest Flyers has again proven to be one of the top youth sports programs in the United States!!!

The NW Flyers annual parent orientation and kickoff beakfast on Feb 4, 2017 had almost 400 people (athletes, parents and coaches) in attendence! Thanks to our volunteers for making this tradition the biggest kickoff in team history. Click the link above for news coverage!
The Northwest Flyers Track Club (Houston, TX) previews the 2017 youth championship season by hosting its track meet on May 26-27 at Klein Memorial Stadium. Sanctioned by USATF, the track meet is open to all youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Track clubs as well as unattached athletes are welcomed; however a USATF membership card is required to compete. The entry fee is $7 for athletes and $6 for spectators. The meet will offer fully automatic timing (FAT) and a host hotel for teams traveling from out of town. All athletes , all age groups are required to pre-register / pre-pay at the Athletic.net website (search for the track meet “NW Flyers 30th Anniversary Meet”). We are expecting approx. 2000 athletes to participate from across 3 states so please register early!

Congratulations to the NW Flyers Track Club for a strong team performance at the USATF Junior Olympics July 25-July 31, 2016 at Cal State University in Sacramento, CA. The team had 57 athletes qualify in approx 80 track events and came away with 8 medals including 2 relay medals !!! Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, and staff for a great team result at THE National Championships of Youth Track & Field!!!
The NW Flyers completed the 2015 Fall Cross Country Season with a great run at the USATF Gulf Association Championships at the White Oak Conference Center on Novemebr 14, 2015. Eight athletes qualifed and four (4) travelled to the USATF National Cross Country Championship in Albuquerque, NM on December 12, 2015.

The team had 63 athletes qualify in approx 90 track events and came away with a team record 16 medals including 4 GOLD MEDALS, and 2 relay medals !!! In honor of the club’s 27th anniversary, two of the most decorated track athletes at the collegiate level this past decade, Elizabeth Adeoti (Texas A&M) and Jeomi Maduka (Cornell), will be the guest speakers at this year’s breakfast event. Both athletes will provide a motivational message that will inspire young people to excel in sport, the classroom, and life!

NW Flyers will host an NCAA student-athlete recruiting seminar for college bound athletes (9th thru 12th grade) and their parents on Monday July 15th at Cypress Creek High School from 7:15 – 9:00pm in the Small Commons Room. The seminar is free and food / refreshments will be served. Contact your event coach or any director for further info (see Team contacts).
Good luck to the 107 NW Flyers Athletes who finished in the top 6 in the Gulf Association greater Houston area championships and advanced to the USATF Region state-wide championships which compete July 3 – 6, 2013 at Humble ISD Turner Stadium!!!
Anjanette Kirkland, World Champion and Track & Field Hall of Famer, will speak at the Annual NW Flyers “kickoff” breakfast on February 2, 2013!!! The event is open to all parents and athletes interested in youth track and field.
Congratulations to the NW Flyers Track Club for a record breaking performance at the USATF Junior Olympics July 24-29, 2012 in Baltimore, MD. The team had 101 athletes qualify in 128 track events (a team record) !!! The team earned 9 individual medals and 3 relay medals. Well done!!!
Congratulations to the NW Flyers cross country team that had great success at the Texas state-wide championships in Rockwall, TX on November 17, 2012. Twenty-five (25) qualified to the meet and 15 finished as individual and / or team champions and will be advancing to the national cross-country championships in Albuqueque, New Mexico on December 8, 2012.
