THE NW FLYERS CELEBRATES OUR 32st ANNIVERSARY IN 2018!!!
The NW Flyers Track Club kicks off the Spring/Summer 2019 Track & Field season with our annual kick-off breakfast for interested athletes and their parents on February 3, 2018, at 8 AM. The event will cover the program description for the season and the mandatory orientation for new parents and athletes. The registration event will be held at the Cypress Creek Community Center, 6823 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX 77379. (If you are a middle / high school athlete you should attend this mandatory orientation – see below for more information.)
The NW Flyers Track Club wrapped up the Spring/Summer 2018 Track & Field season on July 30 with a successful competition at the US Junior Olympics National Championships at North Carolina A&T University. The team won 14 medals, two sprint relay medals, and two gold medals. In addition to setting a new national record earlier in the season.
The NW Flyers annual parent orientation and kickoff breakfast will be held on February 2, 2019. We are expecting approximately 400 people (athletes, parents, and coaches) to attend this annual event!

Spring/Summer Track Season Kickoff Meeting – SAVE THE DATE (Sat Feb 2, 2019)!
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member program of USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track & field and cross country. The club is in its 31st year in the northwest Houston area. We train and compete in the USATF Cross-Country (Fall), Indoor Track (Winter), and Outdoor Track & Field (Spring / Summer) seasons. Ages 6 – 18 may participate in the team, and both beginners and experienced runners are welcome. Distance runners in middle / high school athletes should Contact Coach Chris Stewart at email@example.com, or (832) 874-7181 for more information. Email Coach Stewart to get on the email list and you will receive a free running training video. The program begins promptly at 8 AM. We will also have a special presentation from a member of the US Olympic Track Team. As a courtesy to our guest speaker, please do not arrive late. The kickoff orientation program will cover the important information you need to join for this season. New and returning families should plan to attend this event. Again, the “orientation session” is mandatory.

Olympic Gold Medalist to Speak at Northwest Flyers Registration Breakfast on February 2, 2019
Houston, TX, December 1, 2018
The Northwest Flyers Track Club will host its annual free information / registration breakfast on February 2, 2019 for all boys and girls and their parents interested in joining for the 2018 spring/summer track season. The breakfast starts at 8:00AM at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center Forum located at 6823 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX, 77379. All athletes / parents must be seated by 8:30 AM in order to register.
The event will begin with a special presentation from an Olympic Gold Medalist.
At the breakfast, our guest speaker will provide athletes, coaches, and parents an inspiring message for sport and life.
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a youth (age 6 -18) track organization, affiliated with USA Track & Field (USATF), that provides a full program of sanctioned “track” events such as sprints, hurdles, middle distance, distance, relays and sanctioned “field” events such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and javelin. The Northwest Flyers has approximately 275 members, boys and girls. The club was founded 23 years ago by Olympic gold medalist Fred Newhouse to foster the development of youth track & field in the Northwest Houston area.
The Northwest Flyers is a member of the “Win With Integrity Champion” program, a partnership between USATF and the American College of Sports Medicine. “Win With Integrity” brings elite track & field athletes and school-aged kids together to promote healthy lifestyles, keeping active, and living with integrity through the sport of track & field.
